A purported witch winds up dead on Halloween in “Murder, She Wrote – Trick or Treachery”, by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain.
I first read this novel some years ago, and didn’t like it (partly because I didn’t know much about the series). However, I tried it this season, and now I think it’s an easy read. It has everything: A costume party, black cat, supposed witch, wandering ghost, and group séance. That orange and black book cover is also creepy with a cemetery background. Then again, Jessica Fletcher’s smile reassures us that this is a light-hearted mystery.
To conclude, I would recommend this paperback.
